Penobscot Building

is located at Griswold and West Fort Streets in Detroit Michigan and was completed in 1928.  Once the tallest building outside of New York and Chicago and the 8th tallest building in the world, when it was completed. Detroit's tallest for 49 years, was designed by Wirt C. Rowland of  Smith, Hinchman & Grylls. and stands 565 feet tall with 47 floors. This pewter replica building stands 6-1/4 inches tall to the tip of the spire and is finished in antique pewter (black stain).
