The KIT-DPX-I system pictured at right provides an adjustable time delay to absorb minor
single occurrence alarms.
By absorbing nuisance alarms staff will
not become immune to constant audible and visual alarms.
The system utilizes our model DPX-I inline time
delay, model CA-10nc Nurse Call cable
and model XFORM-1 wall
transformer.
Setup & Testing
1. Select a location for the DPX-I within 4’ of a 110v electrical
outlet.
2. Mount the DPX-I to a clean smooth surface with 3m Dual
Lock®.
3. Insert the CA-10nc cable into the existing dedicated Nurse Call system headwall
jack.
4. Use the provided wire tie to secure the Xform-1 and CA-10nc cables from accidental
disconnect.
5. Insert the monitored device's Nurse Call output cable into the DPX-I's Nurse Call In jack.
If an external system is not present the attached dummy plug is inserted to silence the
alarm.
6. When the external system provides a contact closure (alarm) the DPX-I will
activate the headwall jack after the adjustable time delay period is reached. It will remain active as long
as the contact remains closed. It will self reset when the external contact
opens.
7. This system must be tested after each reinstallation and at regular
intervals
The mechanical integrity of these devices
must be maintained to assure proper operation. All mounting hardware, cables, connectors and plugs must be
regularly inspected for wear and tear.
All devices must be securely mounted at all times. If a mounting situation arises
that does not seem safe do not use the system! Contact our technical department for advice on correcting those
situations.
